What is a vacant lot? A sign of abandonment? A business opportunity? A prelude to something “better”? A haven for biodiversity?
For the past years, I’ve watched life reclaim the empty lot behind my home. All the photographs and chromatographies in this project were taken in this space and its surroundings. Once destined for real-estate speculation, it has become a living lesson in resilience and collaboration—and a refuge for species with nowhere else to go.
